Malaysia's conservative Islamic party really doesn't want Avril Lavigne to perform in the country!
After failing to have her concert banned, they've announced that they will mount protests at her concert, scheduled for Friday.
Apparently, the scheduling is 'insulting' to Islam because the fasting month of Ramadan is due to start just a few days later.
April's great at insulting!
A leader of the Pan Malaysian Islamic Party said:
"A concert of this nature is not conducive to teach the younger generation to become good citizens, upright and competitive, but instead would weaken them morally and mentally. If the concert organisers do not heed this warning to cancel the concert, PAS youth will order all Muslim youth to turn up and protest the concert in order to prevent it from taking place."
To the Malaysian Muslim youth who may be thinking of showing up to Avril's concert to 'rebel' against their elders…don't do it!
We don't think she's 'worth' their ire!
Regardless, sounds like Avril's peeps effed up. Someone didn't do their homework about the country!

hahaa. apparently i didn't read what perez wrote in his blog, i straight away left u a comment here. hehee. from the comments people wrote about this article in his blog, most of them are against our action, blaming on us for not letting the concert to be held here, blaming our religion. like, can't they show some respect to us? it's like our country and only malaysians can decide what's the best for us! who are they to judge us??
